Bible Study

Yesterday (the day after Christmas) I ran into one of my Bible Study friends. She reminded me that we have a very short window of a few months before baseball season started to get together and try to resume (or revive) our group. She said, "Even if we can get together and just read the scriptures, I think that would be great." Her sweet comments made me smile.

Honestly, I haven't even thought about Bible Study. It's probably been four or five months since we've all gotten together. And as moms and working women, it's rather hard to get together every month. That's why we agreed that even getting together every few months would be better than nothing. But it's hard to have a close group that way.

I've decided that I am going to pray about it none-the-less. As the discussion leader, I feel that it's important to be prepared to lead our group in whatever God has planned for us - we have no set devotion or study guide. I think the girls like it that way. However, it requires alot of prayer and a close walk with my Savior, which is something that I feel I am lacking in these days.

You have another blog, I just realized that. Would it be possible to have a meeting once a month where children were invited. Maybe play a movie for them and have some teenage gals from church watch over them while the moms talk scripture. Just a thoguht.

Hi, you left me a comment after finding me on Kelly's blog. I actually am from Trenton, GA. I do know about Rome, though. Is that where you are? Glad to have found you! (or be found!) I like public practice but I hate tax season! I am an auditor for the most part of the year and that's what I truly enjoy!

Oh' my goodness... YES! She went throught the, "I only want to wear a dress" phase. Then, "I only want to wear a skirt with tall socks." Now, I love the tall ugg like boots and she hates them. She wants to wear the ballet type slipper looking shoes with no socks when it's freezing! Yes, it's a battle sometimes! The bow has never been an option though! Ha! I laughed when I got her school group picture b/c at 5 years old (Pre-K), she was the ONLY little girl with a bow and all the other girls had jeans on. She's been telling me that she wants to wear jeans everyday b/c that's what her friends wear but I want her to look cute. I kind of feel bad! I thought for sure on picture day, all the little girls would be dressed up.

The only thing I know to do and that helps is to pick two things out the night before and let her choose one. Let me know how that works for you... doesn't always work here (very strong willed). ;)

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I've only been in a small group for a year and half, but they have been invaluable. The smaller group is so much closer and deeper than a sunday school class. Hope you and your group can get together soon!
